Convient location
Falmouth is situated between Montego Bay (20 minute drive) and Ocho Rios (30 minutes), Falmouth Pier will become the fourth Jamaican port to serve the cruise industry. (The less-used Port Antonio on the eastern end of the island is the third.) The new port will start to accept cruise ships in January 2011 (Jan 7 with Navigator of the Seas) and Oasis and Allure of the Seas will start to make biweekly calls in March 2011. "Guests arriving into Falmouth will be able to choose between the shore excursion options in both Ocho Rios and Montego Bay since the new port is in the same distant from both of these towns.

Falmouth has maintained a long and distinguished reputation as a centre for commerce, both in the formal and informal sectors. Falmouth Jamaica today the market is still one of the largest and most attended – especially on Wednesdays – when traders from all over the island congregate on the streets for “Bend-down market”.
