Visiting Jamaica is a wonderful experience that should be experienced by all, we see commercials about how beautiful the island is and the honest hard working people of Jamaica puts so much effort into ensuring that when guest visit they have a wonderful time.

It is sad to know that there is Tourist who travel with intent to defraud or not pay for their trip, for many years tour operators, transportation companies and many other organizations that puts together the complete package that will allow our guest to fully enjoy their vacation to Jamaica have been plagued with visitor who come to Jamaica, use the services of these providers and then go back home and dispute charges and the providers are left with the expenses of their experience.

Many transportation and tour operators have been plagued with these unscrupulous visitors for years, a prominent ground transportation provider have reported a lost of over US$9,000.00 another over $5,000.00.

Many of these guest claim that they did not get the service they paid for, unauthorized use of their card, the price is not what they were told and many more excuses, now these come months after they have been provided the service and out of the blue companies are hit with these charge backs.

In an effort to try to dispute these charges, companies often told to contact the guest, when contacted, they answer the first call, they hang up, further efforts to reach them again is proven futile, some guest have different stories that is not shared with the credit card companies but lead to no recovery of funds.

In a bid to try to avoid these incidents, companies are urged to put proper paper work in place for guest to sign documents upon providing the services, request IDs, collect cash payments and try to get as much evidence of your interaction with guest to show as proof that clients did get what they had requested.

Another company reported that if it was not because of a photo loving driver who took pictures of himself with guest and guest enjoying their tours and transfers they would have lost US$3,000.00 when charges was disputed, claiming they came to Jamaica and could not locate the company, WOW.

When ever a company messes up with a guest in anyway they are threatened with bad comments on review websites, social media and many other mediums, not sure if there is anywhere out their where companies can blacklist or warn others of these type of guest, some keep a list of names that is checked after bookings are made but often times the booking is made under another person name in the group, it is a hard challenge that is faced world wide, it seems in every good there have to be bad.

Much can be said on this topic and everyone will have a story but this article is for the scammers who go on vacation, not just Jamaica but all over the world then scam hard working people out of hard working compensation.
